
The continuing conversation about Affirmative Consent, Yes Means Yes and other campus safety issues has created a network of resources and organizations developed to not only investigate Title IX incidents, but also provide help to survivors and other people affected by campus assault. This section of the Affirmative Consent Project will keep the public posted about these resources, organizations, investigations and news about campus safety, Title IX updates and other information that work to keep campuses safe.

Cases updated
- Kansas State University August 2014, April 2015, September 2015, November 2015: Two students have sued the university over how it handled allegations of rape at off-campus fraternity houses, The New York Times reported.
- State University of New York at Stony Brook November 2013, July 2014: A federal judge ruled in March 2016 to let proceed a lawsuit by an alumna who had sued the institution for mishandling her report of sexual assault.
- University of Kansas November 2011, July 2014, July 2015: The university is facing a pair of lawsuits from a student and a former student who say they were raped by the same football player, the Lawrence Journal-World reported.
- Pennsylvania State University at University Park November 2013 and Pennsylvania State University at University Park January 2014: The institution released a climate survey, finding that 28 percent of undergraduate women said they had experienced at least one instance of attempted or completed sexual assault since enrolling there.
- Boston University December 2013: A current and a former student have sued the institution, saying that they were the victims of sexual harassment by a professor and that BU failed to stop it, The Boston Globe reported.
- Iowa State October 2014: A former basketball player accused of rape sued the university, saying it mishandled the case against him, The Des Moines Register reported.
- University of Southern California June 2013 and University of Southern California March 2016: A state appellate court reversed in April 2016 the suspension of an unnamed former football player allegedly involved in a sexual assault. The court ruled that he was given neither adequate notice of the allegations against him nor a fair hearing by the university.
- Brandeis University August 2014, Brandeis University March 2016 Case 1, and Brandeis University March 2016 Case 2: A federal judge ruled in March 2016 that a lawsuit filed by an accused student against the university could proceed. The judge found that Brandeis had denied the student basic fairness and called the standard of proof set by the Education Department "particularly troublesome."
- University of Connecticut December 2013 and University of Connecticut February 2015: The university released the results of a climate survey on sexual violence. About 5 percent of students who responded said they had been sexually assaulted while in college, and another 2.6 percent said they suspected that they had been assaulted but were not certain. The university told the Hartford Courant that the rate in its survey may be lower than what has been recorded in others because the group that conducted it tried to poll a more representative sample of people.
- Columbia University January 2015 and Columbia University July 2015: A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit against the university by Paul Nungesser, a former student who was the accused party in a rape allegation that drew national attention. The judge found that Mr. Nungesser did not prove that Columbia, which found him not responsible for sexual misconduct, had discriminated against him because of his gender.
- Yale University April 2011: The former captain of Yale's men's basketball team has said he will sue the university over his expulsion, which is reportedly related to a sexual-misconduct case.
- University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill March 2013: State appeals court rules that lawsuit by former student who said she was raped can proceed
- University of Virginia June 2011: Documents show how the university fought to soften the Education Department's findings in a Title IX investigation.
- Cases: Brown University July 2014 and Brown University April 2015: Federal judge allows accused man's lawsuit to proceed.
- Cases: Indiana University March 2014 and Indiana University June 2015: Title IX administrator resigns after being accused of sexual misconduct.
- Case: University of Miami October 2015: News report about nonrenewal of adjunct who supported alleged victims.
- Case: Monmouth College September 2015: News report about a complainant who spoke publicly about her experience.

- Chapman University July 2015 - The Education Department administratively closed this case on March 8.
